In June 12, 2015, the EDF group inaugurated the Pointe Jarry thermal power station with a capacity of 210 MW. This plant was built to replace that of Jarry Nord, closed on 31/12/2014 after thirty years of operation.

The new plant in a few figures :

• 12 diesel engines with a total capacity of 220 MW
• 45% of local electricity needs covered
• Water treatment plant that saves 700 000 tons of water per year
• 180 companies mobilized on site

• Voltage variation for reactive load full range test (min to max)
• Load rejection test
• Stability on operating limits testing
