Context and Key points
In June 12, 2015, the EDF group inaugurated the Pointe Jarry thermal power station with a capacity of 210 MW. This plant was built to replace that of Jarry Nord, closed on 31/12/2014 after thirty years of operation.
The new plant in a few figures :
- 12 diesel engines with a total capacity of 220 MW
- 45% of local electricity needs covered
- Water treatment plant that saves 700 000 tons of water per year
- 180 companies mobilized on site
Genset Commissioning
Commissioning of 18V48/60 MAN Diesel engines and Jeumont alternators :
- System checks and preliminary inspection for erection completion
- Blanc test of equipments and sensors
- Partial tests with medium, on Engine, Alternator and auxiliaries, testing of sequences
- Functionnal tests of Genset unit, running at nominal speed and load, adjustments
