Project 7 – Laayoune Powerplant

Context

The new power plant is an extension of the Laayoune old plant (3x7MW), adding 72MW in the network to enforce power stability to the city of Laayoune. Comprised of 4 x 18V48/60 MAN Diesel and Turbo engines, ABB Alternators, and Siemens Step up Transformers, it has the ability to put a new engine on the Grid in less than 5 minutes.

Blanc tests of Engines, Alternators and auxiliaries
Functionnal tests of Genset unit, running at nominal speed and load, adjustments
Commissioning of common systems (tank farm, water treatment, sludge treatment, pumphouse, electrical substation)
Performance tests

Training

Training of operators (all power plant systems)
Assistance during industrial test runs (3 months)
Coordination of OEM’s training sessions with local operators
